Vedic gods

The vedic gods are mainly 33 in number. This is the fact behind the concept that there are 33 crore deities in Hinduism - a crore variations for each God. The 33 Gods are -

1. Prajaapati or Brahma
2. Indra

3. Dhara
4. Dhruva
5. Soma
6. Aapa
7. Anala
8. Anila
9. Pratyoosha
10. Prabhasa
- called the ashta Vasus

11. Mrugavyadha
12. Sarpa
13. Nirrutirmahashya
14. Aja ekapat
15. Ahirbubhnya
16. Pinaakee paramtapa
17. Bhuvana
18. Eesvara
19. Kapaalee Mahadyuti
20. Sthanu
21. Bhago Bhagavan
- called ekaadasha Rudras

22. Bhaga
23. Amsha
24. Aryama
25. Mitra
26. Varuna
27. Savita
28. Dhaata
29. Tvashta
30. Poosha
31. Vivasvaan Mahaabala
32. Indra
33. Vishnu
- called the dvaadasha Adityas

The pitrus also exist in the form of the above Vasus, Rudras and Adityas.
